CTO
Scott Millar is the Chief Technology Officer of XR Studios. As one of the leading industry specialists in developing and implementing XR, AR, and MR into large-scale productions, Scott has contributed to groundbreaking live events including the world’s first live XR esports event, HP Omen Challenge; the trailblazing television special, Katy Perry’s American Idol ‘Daisies’ performance, which implemented XR elements during live broadcast; and Billie Eilish’s WHERE DO WE GO? livestream concert, a virtual production and excellent showcase of XR technology.
With roots in engineering and technology, Scott began his work in immersive technology as head of technology at Pixel Artworks, where he got to work on the world’s biggest projections, engineering incredible systems that delivered original content. As he threw himself into the world of AV, Scott worked as freelance operator and consultant for White Light’s forward thinking broadcast department, where he further honed his skills as a design technologist. This led to connecting with XR Studios President and valued collaborator J.T. Rooney.
Scott’s background in interactivity and MR-driven experiences provides the foundation for he and his team at XR Studios to create innovative productions for music, corporate, esports, broadcast, and brand projects.
