John H May II, a licensed C2 electrician since 2017 in the State of Nevada. Currently leading the Lighting Controls Service Department at Roth Lighting with a deep background in lighting controls, Architainment Lighting, DMX512, Energy Storage and Solar Photovoltaic Systems, Demand Response, and an expert in troubleshooting electrical systems. From beginning his electrical career in 2006, he has honed his skills as a residential and commercial service tech specializing in troubleshooting. In 2014 he was the lead electrician that installed the first 5-home energy storage system installed in the State of Nevada. As a result of the participation in this project he was hired in 2015 by HDR Consulting LLC, where John was a leader in the company's Engineering Field Support Department, focused on implementing the Demand Response Pilots and Programs for NV Energy. John was instrumental in supporting field installations of pilot technologies for NV Energy, still in use today. These focus on load-shifting energy during critical peak time frames through multiple Demand Response technologies throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Since joining Roth Lighting in the beginning of 2020 has worked on projects such as the the RGB lighting on London Bridge in Lake Havasu, AZ, Various ballroom lighting and controls retrofits, and supporting of local electrical contractors on many control systems from design levels all the was to system start ups.
