[SOLD OUT] Entertainment Rigging Fundamentals - Day 1

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.

Working in rigging requires an understanding of structures, a knowledge of hardware, some math skills, an appreciation for safety, and a whole lot of common sense. This workshop will look at rigging from all of these angles and supply attendees with information that will be helpful for riggers, technical directors, production managers and venue managers. While the class will not make you a rigger, it will supply you with some of the reasons why we do what we do. We will talk about how to make the correct hardware choices and how to use and inspect the hardware that you choose. The session will also cover basic rigging math that can help assess many different rigging situations. As an added fun bonus we will also spend some time on day two with a destructive test machine to break cable assemblies made in the class. This class qualifies for 14 ETCP recertification credits for ETCP certified technicians
