Even though there's a landscape of digital signage players out there, there are many reasons why you'd want to build your own. This could be for customized feature sets, real-time generative content additions, integrations with tons of interactive sensors, web-based real-time data layers (like weather, sports, upcoming events), or to simply save a ton of your budget by not having to buy expensive off-the-shelf products. This half-day, hands-on course dives into the basics of building your own digital signage player in TouchDesigner.

Requirements:
  • A laptop or desktop computer capable of running TouchDesigner.
  • A Derivative account to license TouchDesigner (the free, non-commercial license will work for this workshop).
  • TouchDesigner 099 (any 2022 build) installed.
  • An external mouse is highly recommended.
